Hello!
I'm Kylah Grimes.
I grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley among redwoods, fog and hippies, and (for another couple of years, at least) it is the place I call home. I live with my family, an incredibly sweet aussie/ retriever/collie dog named Moonlight and a black she-cat named Hunter.
My whole life, telling stories has been my passion, from hijacking my mom's bedtime stories as a kid to making up scenarios with my dinosaur plushies to an embarrassing Wings of Fire fanfic I wrote in seventh grade.
I have been doing art since I was five, progressing from dinosaurs to dragons (basically dinosaurs with superpowers :) ) to graphic design and currently, I am exploring the ins and outs of graphic novels.
A Trail of Blood and Tears is my debut novel. After passionately studying the craft of fiction writing and working on it for three years while juggling AP classes, extracurricular activities and general high school craziness, I am finally able to put it in the hands of the people right before I graduate!
Some other things about me are: I'm obsessed with global mythologies and world history (both which have essential elements of storytelling), my favorite musicals are Hamilton and
Wicked and I'm also an INTJ, for those of you who are into that kind of thing.
